The group acts as a sounding board, providing advice on strategic direction: and a creative collective, adding expert insight on the commercial value of brand for insurance organisations.

Andrew McKee


Andrew is an experienced Insurance professional with an impressive track record of successful business building and profit generation across Lloyd’s and Company market insurers. Over a thirty-year career Andrew has held senior leadership positions, including CEO roles, in London Market and global organisations. He has extensive industry knowledge, and a practical understanding of market and distribution dynamics. He possesses strong technical underwriting and portfolio management abilities and a deep appreciation of regulatory requirements.

 

Andrew has served on the General Insurance Council of the Association of British Insurers (ABI), and on the Boards of the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) and London Market Group (LMG).

Charlie Thomas


Charlie is an associate partner at global executive search firm Eames Partnership. In the early part of her career, Charlie was a multi-award winning financial journalist, including a 6.5 year stint as one of the senior editors at Insurance Insider, Charlie pivoted to executive search and market intelligence in January 2021. She has significant experience in Lloyd’s and the London market, the Bermudian (re)insurance market and the (re)insurance markets of Hong Kong and Singapore. In addition, she spent many years covering other areas of financial services as a journalist, including institutional investment, pensions (retail and institutional), general business, SMEs, entrepreneurs/start-ups and retail investment.

 

She is an active member of a number of diversity and inclusion groups within the (re)insurance industry, including ACIN, LINK and GAIN.

David Melvin


David has a long track record of leading companies and programmes through transformations and integrations with digital innovation to deliver tangible, value-added benefits. Working with the mantra “think big, start small, move fast,” David has harnessed innovative and disruptive processes and technology to steer organisations ranging from mutual companies, corporate insurers, credit agencies and a UAE Family Trading Company, through complex change. David has multicutural experience and currently works as an advisor to companies across several sectors.

His achievements include leading the post-merger integration programme after the $5.3 billion acquisition of a global insurance insurance carrier by a large Japanese insurance company, and leading the business restructure for a global insurer resulting in enhanced underwriting profitability.

He was Chair of the Board of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation in the UK, and currently serves as trustee for a multi-academy education trust.

Ian Priest


Ian began his career at the leading below-the-line marketing agency IMP, reaching board level before leaving in 1993 to join award-winning ad agency HHCL & Partners.

After HHCL, Ian founded VCCP, which was acquired by the Chime Group in 2005. During his time at VCCP, he managed a series of successful and high-profile accounts including O2, Hiscox and Compare the Market.

He joined the executive board of Chime, working across the Group for VCCP and for CSM Sport & Entertainment. He also headed up the Chime Ventures division, established to identify and nurture entrepreneurs.

Ian was president of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising from 2013–15 and is a non-executive director of a number of businesses in the advertising, media and marketing sector. In 2016, Ian joined the global executive search firm Grace Blue Partnership as CEO.

Jason Hyde


Jason’s design and advertising experience spans over 25 years, working at some of the most famous advertising and design agencies in the world, creating global advertising campaigns, brand design and retail experiences.

Working at the forefront of design innovation, Jason enables clients to adapt to an ever-changing world and develop their brand vision in all media channels. He has created brand worlds and visual direction for award-winning ALT advertising campaigns that include: Premier League, BBC, Virgin Atlantic, Lloyd’s Bank, Vodafone, ASICS, M&S, Oxfam, Royal British Legion, LG, Sony Playstation, Kopperberg, Home Office, Sony Records and Oakley.

Jason currently works as an in-house creative consultant for leading advertising and design agencies. He also works independently with start-ups in a wide range of industry sectors, such as insurance, tech, finance, automotive, charity, film and music.

Jonathan Clark


Jonathan has been a claims specialist throughout his career in the insurance world.  Qualified as a Chartered Loss Adjuster and Chartered Insurer he has held senior positions in the world’s leading adjusting firms and also been head of claims for a Lloyd’s managing agent and Global reinsurer.  He is past President of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters and currently works as a consultant with focus on risk solutions and claims service delivery.

Jonathan has recently been appointed as interim CEO of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Lynda Cotton Cert C.I.I


Lynda has over 30 years of underwriting and broking experience. Lynda specialises in the placement of Hull & Machinery for Superyachts and Commercial Vessels and joined Lockton, the world’s largest independent insurance broker, in 2018.
